Hello friends. Did a bit of shopping this evening and wanted to share my finds of the night.
1. On the sale ending tonight at Walgreens, they have their single packs of Act II popcorn 4 for $1.00 with ad coupon. Total OOP: $1.00, no tax.
2. Found Noxzema razors on sale 2/$4 at Kroger. There is a mfgr coupon in a previous insert for $2.00 off. Made them free; just paid 14 cents tax.
3. Got 1 of my 2 available Friday Freebie items at Kroger – the Hillshire Farms lunch meat. Savings of $2.50. They were out of the Orville Redenbacher item from last Friday.
4. Last but not least, TreSemme 15 oz conditioner (used the “Base Product” coupon from the recent RP) for $2.50 off 1 to get it FREE at WalMart, just paid tax. (Of note, they have a 32 oz for $3.48, and the coupon would have made it just 98 cents, but I decided to go the free route and save money since I have plenty of other conditioner at home, and may get more of those coupons from friends/family).
In addition to these great finds, as we all know, WalMart price-matches other stores’ prices. Here are my price matches of the night:
a. Through Sunday at Marsh, they have their Food Club brand pasta for 25 cents. I was able to get the WalMart brand for 25 cents per box, and I got 6 boxes.
b. I price matched the Kraft Natural Slices cheeses from the Meijer ad, $2.00 each (and I had a coupon for $1.50 off 2, so I paid only $2.50 for two packages of Kraft cheese).
c. I price-matched the Swanson chicken broth cartons, $1.89 each (and I had a coupon for 50 cents off 2, printed from coupons.com).
I also gave away 3 coupons tonight – 1 woman got 2, for All and Snuggle (and I told her to price match the All at the register as it is $2.99 at Kroger this week) and a young girl, maybe 20 years old, grabbed a bottle of Pantene and as she started to walk by me, I said “I can give you a coupon for buy one get one free if you’d like.” Her eyes lit up a bit and happily accepted. I was thanked by both her and her mom.
